About Me

I'm a 28 year old chartered accountant working in corporate finance. I'm a proud member of Unite the Union, and I was born in Swansea and have lived in Cardiff for the last five years.

I studied Economics and Politics at the University of Exeter, graduating in 2019 with a 2:1. I'm standing in the 2026 Senedd Elections for Welsh Labour in Ceredigion Penfro, which is my first ever election.

Experience

Chartered Accountant and Finance Professional

I have over five years of experience working as an auditor in a 'Big 4' acountancy practice, and as a financial accountant within the construction consultancy industry. Over these years I have benefitted from a variety of training including mentoring, presenting, coaching and public speaking.

I am a member of the Social Value Team at my workplace and I have been a part of planning and delivering projects that help communities across the South West and Wales, through fundraising, volunteering and educational engagement.

My Key Policy Priorities

Leading on from the strong legacy of the Welsh Labour Government and the policies they have enacted since devolution began, I have listed some of my key priorities for the future of Wales, and specifically Ceredigion Penfro.

Families

  • Expand access to free childcare for families through the 'Flying Start' program, with a view to expand across Wales and to fund younger children as well
  • Improve access to adequate, affordable and sustainable housing in local communities
  • Protect free school meals for all primary school ages children
  • Continue to develop and invest in initiatives for additional learning needs (ALN) children and families

Healthcare

  • Develop and fund community healthcare initiatives for local areas with extra funding provided by the Welsh Government
  • Increase research, availability and funding into Women's health issues
  • Reduce waiting times
  • Expand access to local and affordable NHS dental care for all
  • Protect and enhance funding for training in social work, nursing and other vital healthcare roles

Education & Jobs

  • Improve access to education for young adults with funding for apprenticeships in their local area
  • Use apprenticeship funding to prepare young adults for work in trades and other professions
  • Ensure that access to higher education is based on desire and not financial means by continuing to fund bursaries
  • Ensure the school curriculum for both primary and secondary age children is both up to date and impactful

My Key Drivers and Motivations

Equality

I am a firm believer that every person regardless of background, gender, sex, race, sexual orientation, ethnicity, age (or any other factor) deserves to be treated as equal and have the same opportunities in life. To that end I hope to be a driver in shaping the future and fairness of Wales.

LGBTQ+ Rights

Wales is a nation of pride and unity, and I am a strong backer and ally of the LGBTQ+ community. In this day and age, it is vital that our politicians continue to stand up for those who are different and be a strong voice of support to those in the LGBTQ+ community.

Family

As a young father I know how important family and community is in Wales. It is one of my motivators to succeed as an individual, but also one of my key priorities as a candidate. I hope to support families across Wales, from young children to the elderly, to live the best life they can.

Sustainability

It is vital that we pass on a Wales to our children that is both prosperous and sustainable. To that end, I hope to broaden initiatives that ensure our resources are protected and used efficiently, such as through expanding production of green energy and prioritising green jobs.
